Новые iPhone и iPad с поддержкой LTE

Следующее поколение смартфона iPhone и планшета iPad, появление которых запланировано на 2012 год, получит модули для работы в сетях четвертого поколения — LTE.

Планшет iPad 3 со встроенным модулем для передачи данных в LTE-сетях появится у японского оператора NTT DoCoMo летом 2012 года. Продажи следующего поколения iPhone с поддержкой LTE этот оператор начнет осенью того же года. На американском рынке эти устройства могут появиться даже раньше.

Сейчас продажей iPhone на японском рынке занимаются операторы KDDI и Softbank. Хотя ранее СМИ и сообщали, что в ноябре Apple и NTT DoCoMo достигли соглашения по поставкам iPhone и iPad, представители оператора опровергают эту информацию.

Данный шаг Apple вполне логичен, т.к. производство Android-смартфонов с поддержкой LTE все больше набирает обороты.

Смартфоны Apple, в том числе последняя модель iPhone 4S, поддерживают работу только в сетях третьего поколения — HSDPA с теоретической скоростью скачивания файлов до 14,4 Мбит/c - в два раза больше, чем позволял iPhone 4.
